This 1970 Pontiac GTO 455-HO is one of 1,986 hardtops produced with a 455-HO V8 engine and automatic transmission in model year. Highly optioned, frame-off restoration finished in its Granada Gold factory color. It has the original high-output 455ci engine producing 360hp at 4,300 rpm and 500 ft/lbs of torque at 2,700 rpm. The engine features the correct YA 4-bolt main block, correct 64 heads and the Quadrajet, all intact. All numbers, including the matching VIN on the block, are in order. The transmission is the HD Turbo 400, and the rear end is the HD 12-bolt with Safe-T-Track limited-slip and 3.07 gears. The Sandalwood interior features bucket seats, center console, tilt wheel steering, wood-trim steering wheel, cruise control, 8-track player and air conditioning. Some of the other 20 options listed on the Pontiac Historic Services (PHS) paperwork include, but are not limited to, power disc brakes, Soft-Ray tinted glass, AM/FM radio, hood-mounted tachometer, power steering, Rally 2 wheels and BFGoodrich tires.
