Details

This original matching-numbers 1970 Plymouth HEMI Superbird is one of 135 A13-code Special HEMI Superbirds built for the model year and has been validated by Dave Wise. The 60-page Elite Level Wise Validation Report certifies the car retains the original matching-numbers 426/425hp HEMI engine paired with a TorqueFlite 727hp transmission. This California Super Bird is finished in the special High Impact Lemon Twist. This matching-numbers Superbird lays its power to the road through the A36 Chrysler 8.75-inch with 3.55-ratio Sure-Grip Performance Axle Package. It's also equipped with a dual exhaust, chrome exhaust tips, hood pins, front disc brakes, power brakes, Max Cooling Package with a seven-blade fan, HEMI suspension and firm-ride shocks. All Superbird Special Equipment is present: J45 hood pins, Graphics Package, aero nose, rear wing, fender-mounted air scoops and front spoiler. The car received all the unique suspension components standard with a HEMI production order, including power steering with cooler and power front disc brakes, 15-inch Rallye wheels and Goodyear Polyglas raised-white-letter tires. The interior features high-grade black bucket seats, six-way adjustable driver's seat, AM radio with stereo 8-track tape player, wood-grain console and tinted windshields. The dash features the factory tachometer, correct push-button radio with three speakers, heater/defroster and three-spoke steering wheel with the Road Runner center cap. This vehicle is No. 1785 of the now famous 1970 NASCAR wing car homologation program. It has been recorded in the MMC Detroit Global Vehicle Registry and is ICCA Detroit-certified. The sale includes the original VIN Tag, Fender Tag and Broadcast Sheet.
