This custom 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS received a professional no-expense-spared body-off restoration and custom build by Hilltoppers Speed Shop in Dickson, TN, completed in 2023. It is powered by a custom-built Dart II 540ci engine making 650hp and 680 ft/lbs of torque, and features Molnar crank and rods, 10.5 compression, Mahle PowerPak pistons, Brodix 320cc heads, Bullet hydraulic roller, Edelbrock 454R Victor Jr. intake manifold and a 1000CFM 4150 carburetor by Mark Whitener. The engine is backed by a Turbo 400 3-speed automatic transmission delivering power to a Ford 9-inch center section with 3.50 gears in a Pro Iron case with Truetrac posi-traction and 31-spline axles. Its foundation is a black powder-coated Roadster Shop chassis with power rack & pinion steering, Fox coilover suspension, Wilwood Pro spindles, front sway bar and parallel 4-bar rear suspension. Stopping power is provided by Baer with 11-inch drilled and slotted one-piece rotors and black 4-piston calipers. The engine breathes through 2.125-inch headers feeding a 3-inch ceramic-coated and wrapped Borla exhaust exiting through the rear lower valance. The body is finished in Sikkens Jet Black with 2015 Corvette Shark Gray stripes. The floor is coated with Dynamat Xtreme sound-deadening and the underside is coated with black Rhino Liner. It also has mini-tubs, a smoothed firewall and custom radiator cover. This Chevelle rides on 18-inch Forgeline JO3C wheels wrapped in Nitto tires. It is also equipped with a Be Cool radiator with Derale Performance electric fans, March pulley system, stainless gas tank with a 4450-fuel pump, LED lighting, electric emergency brake and billet components that include hood hinges, door handles, door strikers, vents, taillights and grille. The black bucket-seat interior features a Vintage Air system, Dakota Digital gauges, tilt steering column, a center console and a custom Autosound stereo with four speakers.
