One of 285 built, this 1969 Mercury Cyclone Spoiler II Cale Yarborough Special is powered by a 351ci engine, bored to Holman Moody NASCAR specs of 358ci and mated to a FMX Cruise-O-Matic transmission. It underwent a five-year restoration done to concours standards that was completed in May 2011. It is equipped with a high-performance 3.25.21 axle, Cross Country Ride Package, power front disc brakes and power steering. The exterior features color-keyed racing mirrors, styled steel wheels, and Spoiler II modification with aero factory custom front end and spoiler (not the stock flat nose). The Dark Red bench-seat interior features an AM radio. This is one of 757 finished in two-tone white and red paint on roof, rear deck, hood stripe and body side sport stripes. Along with being in the Talladega Spoiler II Registry, this car was part of the wing car homologation program. This meant they had to offer 500 cars to the public to race at NASCAR ("Race on Sunday, sell on Monday"), and 503 Mercury Cyclone Spoiler IIs were split between Dan Gurney and Cale Yarborough. Produced on March 12, 1969, this is the only example built and shipped to St. Paul, MN. The sale includes a Marti Report. **TITLE IN TRANSIT**
