This 1969 Ford Mustang SCJ 428 was the recipient of a rotisserie restoration over a three-year period using original Super Cobra Jet components. Under the Ram Air Shaker hood is a date-correct R-code 428ci Super Cobra Jet 4-barrel V8 engine, which was professionally balanced and blueprinted. The engine was completely rebuilt from top to bottom, along with a C6 SelectShift automatic transmission. This is one of 156 Super Cobra Jet Mach 1s produced with a 3.91 Traction-Lok differential powered by a R-code SCJ engine and Shaker hood built in Dearborn, MI. Documented by a Deluxe Marti Report, this SCJ was born in factory Candy Apple Red with white knit vinyl Mach 1 high-back bucket seats, a console and an automatic transmission. It also had a complete interior restoration and rides on new 15-inch wheels wrapped in period-correct F-60 Goodyear Polyglas GT tires. Additional factory options include an optional axle ratio, sport deck rear seat, power steering, disc brakes, AM/FM stereo, deluxe belts, and optional tachometer and trip odometer. The sale includes the original warranty identification owner card and owner registration documentation from 1974.
