Featured in a September issue of All Chevy Performance magazine, this custom 1968 Chevrolet Chevelle Malibu was pulled out of storage in 2023 after more than 50 years. It retains the original body and Grecian Green paint, but the rest of the car is fully updated and modernized with approximately 500 miles since the rebuild. Power is provided by a GM Performance 525hp LS 376ci engine mated to a GM Performance 6L80 automatic transmission. The LS is fitted with custom big-block-style coil covers by Donald Hardy and topped with a Holly Sniper EFI. This car is a survivor that has been updated, is sitting on a Roadster Shop Spec Series chassis and is equipped with 14-inch 6-piston Baer brakes on all four corners. Greening Auto Company designed and built a custom one-off set of custom 3-piece Magnum-style wheels for the car, that feature a full billet and removable beauty ring. The wheels are wrapped in custom Nitto NT555 red line tires by Diamond Back Classics. The interior of the car still features the original dash, door panels and headliner in like-new condition. The factory gauge cluster was upgraded to a full Dakota Digital dash, and sound comes from a retro-style Bluetooth stereo from Custom Autosound. The factory front bench seat was replaced with a pair of TMI bucket seats and an original SS-style center console that has been retrofitted with a modern horseshoe-style shifter built to operate the 6-speed automatic transmission.
