Details

Nicknamed 'Rhodium,' this custom 1968 Chevrolet Camaro is powered by an LT4 direct-injected GM V8 with the factory supercharger removed and replaced with a sheet-metal intake and reverse-drive ProCharger custom drive system with a relocated reverse-drive alternator. The engine is covered by a 3D-printed engine cover designed in-house. Power is backed by a T56 Magnum 6-speed transmission with a Corvette ZR1 dual-disc clutch, 4-inch aluminum driveshaft and 35-spline wave track. The engine breathes out of stainless Ultimate headers with EBMC round/oval 3-inch custom exhaust coated with Cerakote. It is all featured in an all-custom engine bay with sheet metal fabrication performed by EBMC. The body was widened at the top of the fenders and quarter-panels 5 inches. The front edges of the doors were brought out to blend more smoothly into the widened front fenders, and the rear quarters were tipped down to flow into the modified custom rocker panels. The A-pillars were widened to conceal factory weatherstrip channel and the front and rear glass openings were modified to utilize factory size glass as flush mount. It is equipped with a custom cowl built to tie into the hood. It also features a cowl hood modified for 1LE-style hood insert, hood latches that are dual-latch MBZ system, and front hood peak is raised for sleeker transition into a more sleek-angled header panel. Arches on top of the fenders were raised to give a more aggressive look. The grille was CAD-designed in-house and machined by Alumicraft Grilles and features linear actuators for headlight doors riding on Delrin tracks to reveal the LED Dapper headlights. The side mirrors are from a 2018 Mustang with in-house-designed 3D-printed arms. The door latches are from a 2018 Camaro, along with the outer handles. The rear spoiler is constructed of metal incorporated into the decklid and quarter-panels. The rear taillamp panel is a one-piece billet aluminum designed in-house and machined by Evod Industries, while the gas filler is EBMC's own 'Keefer Design' parts line. The rear diffuser was designed in-house and machined from ABS, while the front lower spoilers were designed in-house and 3D-printed. The chassis is a Chris Alston's Chassisworks gStreet full frame system and a six-point roll bar. It also features a cantilevered rocker arm, independent rear suspension, center lock spindles, billet uprights, 35-spline 1,200hp-rated axles, four-way reservoir shocks, and rack & pinion steering with an electric power steering pump. Stopping power is provided by 15-inch Wilwood brakes with 6-piston calipers and an electric brake booster. This Camaro rides on Forgeline GT3C Concave wheels, 19x10.5-inch in the front and 20x12-inch in the rear, wrapped in Pirelli P Zero tires. Paint and bodywork were completed by Compani Color in Hayward, CA, in Glasurit Dolomite Silver and a custom-mixed gray accent color. The interior is completely one-off custom by DJ Designs in Hayward, CA, and features a European theme that utilizes Recaro seats as a basis and high-quality leathers from Relicate Leather. It also features a Sparc Industries billet steering wheel, Dakota Digital gauges and a hidden stereo system. This car was featured in Wheel Hub magazine and in the Odyssey Batteries booth at SEMA 2019. It has also won several awards, including Top 12 Battle of the Builders and GM Design Award for Innovative Use of Technology at SEMA 2019, 2021 Grand National Roadster Show First Place Street Machine Class and Sweepstakes winner, 2021 Sacramento Autorama First Place Street Machine Class and Sweepstakes winner, 2021 Goodguys 'Americas Most Beautiful' and GM Builder of the Year Finalist. **TITLE BRANDED NOT ACTUAL MILEAGE**
