Details

This custom 1966 Chevrolet Chevelle is a complete show-quality no-expense spared build that went through an extensive frame-off rotisserie restoration. It is powered by a new GM Performance 572ci big-block engine with a GM Performance intake and Demon carburetor pushing out over 620hp and 645 ft/lbs of torque. The engine stays cool even in the heat of summer thanks to an aluminum Mattson radiator with twin electric fans. Other features include a high-performance serpentine belt system, Lemons headers and a full custom exhaust. The engine is mated to a Tremec 5-speed manual transmission with a Hurst shifter. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a Currie 9-inch rear end, all connected through a full Metco suspension system. Stopping power comes from Baer power disc brakes at all four corners with drilled and slotted rotors, an SSBC master brake cylinder and an E-Stopp electric emergency brake system. This car rides on a set of 17-inch Budnik Famosa wheels with Goodyear Eagle RS-A tires. The body is finished in Hugger Orange paint and outlined with chrome trim and bumpers. The interior features a paint-matched Hugger Orange dash housing AutoMeter gauges, a Vintage Air climate-control system, power windows, Budnik steering wheel, and black leather-wrapped seats with orange and black houndstooth inserts. Additional features include dual Optima Redtop batteries, a battery disconnect switch, and a Secret Audio sound system with amplifier and 10-disc CD changer. The sale includes the original Window Sticker showing a $2,556.95 purchase price, owner's manual, body order card and owner protection plan booklet showing original delivery in June 1966 to Lyon-Beard Chevrolet in Campbellsville, KY. From The Thomas Rides Collection.
