Details
This 1966 Chevrolet C10 custom pickup received a full frame-off restoration and is powered by a 6.0-liter LS V8 engine from a 2005 Silverado, mated to a rebuilt 4L60 automatic transmission. It is equipped with an aluminum radiator with electric fan, custom-tuned ECU and wire harness by PRK Automotive in Mesa, AZ. This pickup was stripped to the bare frame, C-notched in the rear and features all-new Porterbuilt air-bagged suspension, including shortened, lowered control arms with drop spindles and disc brakes. It also features a Porterbuilt raised engine cradle and trailing arm crossmember and upgraded brake system with power brakes and all-new brake lines. Every wire on this pickup was replaced and all connectors were upgraded to newer-style GM Metri-Pack waterproof connectors. All lighting was upgraded to LED. The cab, bed and all body panels were stripped to bare metal and repainted with Matte Seafoam Green. It features a custom raised bed floor with stained wood and Mar-K polished aluminum bed strips with hidden hardware. It also features a tilt-up, gas strut-assisted bed floor section to access the rear suspension. The rear inner fenders were modified, sectioned and widened. The air suspension consists of Firestone 2600 air bags on all four corners, 3/4hp compressor and two air tanks. All air fittings are strong compression-type fittings to ensure no air loss. The gas tank was relocated from the cab to the rear of the frame using a Suburban-style tank, and it features all-new fuel lines with anodized fittings, a new tank, MSD fuel pump, OEM pressure regulator and sending unit. It rides on new Centerline smoothie aluminum wheels. It also features new windshield and rear glass with all-new weatherstripping. The instrument cluster is from a newer Camaro, custom fitted to the dash and mated with the engine sensors and pressure switches. This pickup has approximately 2,000 miles on the build. **TITLED AS 1966 CHEV UNKNOWN**
