This 1965 Ford Mustang custom fastback is powered by a Mast Motorsports aluminum 427ci Harrop Black Label engine producing over 700hp and more than 500 ft/lbs of torque through the power band. The engine has been mated to a Bowler-built "Carbon Series" T56 transmission with a fully polished gear set and ZR1 first gear. A newly upgraded GearFX 9-inch rear end with 31-spline axles helps put all this power to the ground. Complementing the driveline, the suspension is a Cortex Racing Xtreme-Grip in the front and rear with Radial-X spindles, Ohlins shocks and Eibach springs. It utilizes StopTech brakes with Forgeline GA3 20x12-inch and 19x10-inch wheels wrapped in Michelin Pilot Super Sport ZP tires. The project, accomplished over a seven-year period by Ryan at Kertz Fabrication, included a roll cage, wheel tubbing and extensive chassis customization to accommodate the new components. Filip at Cortex Racing provided components and advice during the project. The body and paint were done by Ken's Custom Auto Body in California, known for his work on Cobras and Mustangs. This Mustang was initially completed in 2022 but has since received another round of enhancements and modifications at Level 7 Motorsports, designed to make the car a much more functional, all-around performer, including an upgraded wiring harness and charging system, c1212 Motec display programmed to emulate the new GT500 with a backup/track camera, new Carbon Series T56 from Bowler, improved GearFX 9-inch rear end with 3.73 gears, a one-off surface-mounted S1 shifter modified for the T56, HID/LED headlights and taillights, as well as other custom upgrades, including a one-off billet gas cap custom designed by Level 7. This car now has approximately 150 shakedown miles.
