Details
This 1961 Chevrolet Corvette Pro-Touring Resto-Mod is powered by a GM Performance 6.2-liter LS3 V8 crate engine backed by a 4L65E automatic transmission with a rebuilt suspension, steering box and custom driveshaft. Internals include L92 aluminum hypereutectic pistons and forged 4340 steel I-beam rods. Feeding fuel to the engine is a Holley Dominator EFI vehicle management system and air flows through a custom-fabricated engine cover intake. Finishing off the mill is a Vintage Air front runner accessory drive system and Billet Specialties valve and coil covers. Exhaust gasses vent through Art Morrison ceramic-coated headers and 2.5-inch polished stainless-steel pipes with MagnaFlow Performance mufflers. It underwent an 18-month build and rides on HRE custom wheels and Pirelli P-Zero tires. The Corvette sits on an Art Morrison chassis fitted with an AME Sport independent front suspension, actuated by a power rack & pinion system with a Lokar column. Reworking the rear end is an Art Morrison triangulated 4-link using a Strange Engineering Ford 9-inch, S-Series third member running 3.70 gears and 31-spline axles. Stopping power is provided by Wilwood SL6 front calipers and SL4 rear units, all fitted on 14-inch drilled and slotted discs. The custom Starfire Pearl White body features a custom hood peak, cut and tucked bumpers, painted brass trim, a custom grille and a fully polished stainless-steel exhaust. The gray leather interior has a leather-wrapped dash and steering wheel, blown-glass knobs, a Vintage Air system, JL audio with Bluetooth and Dakota Digital gauges. **TITLED AS 1961 RECO UNKNOWN** **TITLE IN TRANSIT**
