Details
Sporting classic looks with modern mechanicals and a high-end, big-ticket build, this 1959 GMC 350 COE Ramp Truck was acquired by Dr. Berkowitz in 2021. Power is delivered by a GM 502ci Ram Jet fuel-injected big-block engine, paired with a GM 4L85E heavy-duty automatic transmission equipped with a triple lockup converter and heavy-duty transmission cooler with fan, driving an electric 2-speed differential with a new electric motor. Hydro-boost power brakes deliver stopping power. Cool running is provided by a large aluminum radiator with a 3,000-cfm puller fan. The truck's cab was disassembled and stripped to bare metal, epoxy-primed and refinished with PPG single-stage black paint. The frame was painted with POR-15 for extra corrosion protection. Usability is enhanced with two sets of ramps (four total), a bed-lined ramp surface bed lined for additional traction, a Warn Zeon 10-S 10,000-pound winch, ramp lights on the cab guard, plus two sets of backup lights and two toolboxes, one on each side of the ramp, with lug changing tools and a winch remote control. Before its purchase by Dr. Berkowitz in 2021, new tires were installed. The custom interior features an aftermarket bench seat with suede inserts and seat belts, AutoMeter gauges, a Lokar shifter, Lokar throttle pedal and linkage, Gen II Vintage Air system, electric parking brake, theft control and backup camera. Entertainment is provided by an AM/FM CD player, satellite-capable radio (Sirius XM Radio ID: G44Q0DWO Model# SZX300), Wi-Fi and cell phone connectivity. Supporting features include an electric fuel pump with filter, a 40-gallon aluminum fuel tank, two 12-volt batteries with remote jump station, a 200-amp disconnect switch and trickle charge connection, and upgraded high-performance headlights. An outstanding restoration and build for modern use, this 1959 GMC ramp truck stands ready to move your collection of special cars. From The Dr. Stewart A. Berkowitz Collection. **SELLING FROM SCREEN. BUYER WILL NEED TO ARRANGE SHIPPING FROM ABERDEEN, NJ** **TITLED AS 1959 GMC COE**
