Details
This 1959 Chevrolet Apache pickup has recently undergone a complete ground-up, body-off restoration and is powered by a 235ci Thriftmaster engine mated to a floor-mounted 4-speed manual transmission. This was the only four-wheel-drive option available from the Chevrolet assembly line for the model year. It is fitted with the Napco Powr Pak conversion kit, which includes a transfer case and live front axle with lockout hubs. The cab and frame carry the same matching numbers, visibly verified. Moreover, the Napco components are original and were installed at the factory, evident because the crossmember is riveted to the frame. The four-wheel-drive system works as it should, and the floor-mounted 4-speed transmission has a "Granny" first gear. This truck is restored with a long bed, correct 17.5-inch wheels and Super Traxion tires.
