This 1957 Oldsmobile 98 Starfire convertible is one of approximately 8,278 made for the model year. It is powered by a 371ci Rocket V8 engine paired with a Jetaway 4-speed Hydramatic transmission. Both the engine and transmission have been rebuilt and have less than 3,500 miles. While the engine was out for the rebuild, the engine bay was detailed with new paint and wiring detailed with split-loom braided lines. It is also equipped with power steering, brand-new front power disc brakes with hard stainless brake lines and rebuilt rear brakes, as well as a brand-new gas tank and sending unit. For increased cooling, a new larger Ron Davis aluminum radiator with a seven-blade fan was installed. It rides on American classic whitewall tires with spinner hubcaps with new wheel bearings and front wheel seals. The exterior paint is finished in factory Artesian Blue, and has had both bumpers rechromed and all stainless refinished and buffed.
