This 1956 Chevrolet 3100 Resto-Mod pickup is powered by a modified 6.2-liter LS3 V8 engine paired with a 4-speed 4L65E automatic transmission and a Moser 12-bolt posi-traction rear end. The LS3 is equipped with a March polished aluminum serpentine belt system, K&N intake with throttle spacer, BBK shorty headers and a new exhaust system with dual Flowmaster mufflers. A pre-aluminum radiator with a chrome overflow tank and dual electric 16-inch fans was installed to aid engine cooling. The transmission and brake lines are stainless steel, and the transmission features a Lokar dipstick. A Lokar electric e-brake was added, along with an American Autowire wiring harness, Vintage Air system with braided heater hoses and stainless large coolant hoses. The pickup has a RideTech air-ride suspension system with lower control arms, a 4-link rear suspension setup and Unisteer power rack & pinion steering. Wilwood disc brakes were installed on all four corners, with a Wilwood master cylinder mounted on a vacuum booster. The cab is chopped by 3 inches, with the drip rails removed and the sun visor molded into the roof. The door handles were shaved, with fob entry, and door edges have rounded corners. The hood is pancaked and opens from back to front, with side vent windows deleted and power windows installed. The pickup features dual swan-neck mirrors, H4 headlights and a RainGear hidden wiper system. It features LED lower inserts for turn signals, and LED brake and signal lights are molded into the rear valance. The exterior is finished in Black Cherry. The bed has tubbed fenders to accommodate wider Schott custom wheels and tires, with all edges smoothed, a molded-shut tailgate, frenched license plate, fiberglass tonneau cover and Hagan gas filler door. A relocated battery sits in a battery box. The Light Gray interior created by Ron Mangus Interiors features leather upholstery, a custom Ididit chrome tilt steering column, leather-wrapped banjo steering wheel and polished stainless instrument cluster. Additional interior upgrades include billet door handles, Lokar gas and brake pedals, new carpeting, and a Sony sound system with Kicker speakers and amplifier. This pickup has been driven approximately 300 miles since restoration.
