Details
This matching-numbers 1955 Jaguar XK140 Fixed Head Coupe is powered by a 3442cc inline-6 paired with a 4-speed manual transmission, gleaming in red paint and offering trademark Jaguar elegance with its roomy cockpit and walnut burl veneer dashboard trim. As one of the earlier examples, this example features the desirable aluminum boot, bonnet and doors that were lined with steel after October 1956. The use of aluminum in the earlier cars resulted in performance dividends that were not to be found in earlier examples. In 1996, this XK was purchased by a Kentucky collector who restored the car to its current presentation and is an example that demonstrates the marques renowned synergy of sporty luxury and Le Mans-winning pedigree. This XK comes with a copy of the Certificate of Authenticity from the Jaguar Daimler Heritage Trust stating the original owner, a state senator in Yakima, WA.
