Details

This red 1953 Chevrolet 3100 custom pickup was the recipient of a complete nut-and-bolt professional restoration and Resto-Mod build. Under the hood, the new Chevrolet Performance 430hp 6.2-liter LS3 powerplant has been customized to look like a classic Chevy small-block with a Holley intake, Holley EFI fuel rail injection system and Holley front drive system. The engine is paired with a Level 2 4L65E 4-speed automatic transmission delivering power to a new Currie 9-inch posi-traction rear end fitted with 3.70 gears. Spent gases exit through a completely ceramic-coated side-exit dual exhaust system with headers. Stopping is courtesy of a power-assisted Wilwood master cylinder and Wilwood disc brakes at all four corners. This custom 3100's foundation has been upgraded with an S10 independent front suspension chassis with all-new components and an added sway bar. Other upgrades include new power steering and a Champion 4-core aluminum radiator with a Cooling Components electric fan. The bed has been reshaped for an improved fit to the cab. The exterior also features a hand-shaped roll pan, custom two-piece bumpers, recessed license plate, along with custom taillights finishing the rear. This custom 3100 rides on BFGoodrich wide whitewall tires mounted on 15-inch chrome wheels. The custom interior features a 1960 Impala dashboard fitted with AutoMeter gauges, Impala steering wheel, a custom contoured white leather seat with houndstooth inserts, a chrome Ididit tilt steering column, Lokar shifter, a Vintage Air system and a Sony stereo. This fresh build was completed in November 2024.
