Details
The 2014 Ford Mustang Boss 302S is a factory-built race car offered by Ford Racing and was designed for on-track racing competitions in the SCCA and NASA American Iron racing classes. This car wears VIN #3 of 50 built for the 2014 model year and is still in the wrapper, never having been raced. This car pays tribute to Paul Brown with Matte Black paint and total stripe and decal delete (all stripes and decals are included in the sale and reside in the trunk). Another one-only factory option was adding Watson side end plates to the rear wing at the factory before delivery. The original G-Stream side plates are included. The car is powered by a 5.0-liter Ford Racing Motorsport Boss 302 engine, paired with a TR-6060 6-speed manual transmission connected to a Torsen T2R limited-slip rear end with 3.73 gears. Additional racing features include a G-Stream adjustable carbon-fiber rear wing, front splitter, electric power steering, Brembo power brakes with 14-inch rotors, front coilover dampers, adjustable front anti-roll bar caster/camber plates, rear coilover dampers and tubular lower control arms, adjustable Panhard bar, FIA-spec 6-point roll cage, XL RECARO seat, AIM MXL data-acquisition system with GPS and a fire suppression system. This car also has the optional higher-performance dynamic dampers (which were an additional cost), seam-welded body and optional BBS Racing wheels still in the boxes. This Boss 302S is finished in an optional Matte Black paint stripe delete. The unique graphics package, similar to that of the 1970 Boss 302 driven by Parnelli Jones in his Trans-Am Championship year, is included in the trunk. It currently rides on BBS wheels with Pirelli Racing slicks. The first Boss 302S to be built and raced - known as X2, a beta test car for the Ford Racing Boss 302 program - was built in cooperation between Ford Racing and professional race car driver Paul Brown of Tiger Racing for the 2011 racing season, wearing car #50 graphics. In its first season, Brown and the Boss 302S made Ford's racing history by winning three World Challenge GTS Championships, including the Manufacturers Championship, Driver Championship and Team Championship. This car was a final tribute to Brown - who passed away in late 2012 - for making Ford Racing history in the 2011 season. This 2014 Boss 302S is being offered by Tracey Wellendorf of Wellendorf Performance, a Paul Brown Tiger Racing team member and owner of the #50 Championship-winning car. The sale also includes the original factory wheel/tire set and the original (non-functional) battery. **NOT STREET LEGAL** **SOLD ON BILL OF SALE**
