Details
Executed by famed custom-car builder Dave Kindig, the CF1 Roadster is a turnkey, series-production car ever offered from Kindig-It Customs. The first two of these bespoke rides debuted to acclaim at SEMA 2021 and wide media coverage included the CF1 as the featured subject of Episode 4, Season 9 of Kindig's 'Bitchin' Rides' TV show on Motor Trend+. While building upon the glamorous original cues of the '53 Chevrolet Corvette conceived by GM styling chief Harley Earl and his famed stylists, the
CF1 is a completely new car in every respect. Featuring an entirely carbon-fiber body weighing just 70 pounds, the CF1 is based upon a purpose-built Roadster Shop custom chassis maintaining the stock Corvette wheelbase, yet specially engineered to deliver far greater passenger space and comfort. The subtly sectioned and tweaked CF1 body is a study in the restyling arts with myriad updates, including the chopped and laid-back windshield, contoured wheel arches, custom headlamps, the simplified grille, flip-up taillights enclosing the fuel filler and trickle charger, and stunning show-quality chrome and brightwork. Finished in Blue Suede Blue paint over a Stone full leather custom interior, CF1 Number 004 is the product of a 9-month build completed during 2022. Rectifying one of the original Corvette's weaknesses, CF1 Number 004 delivers stunning performance potential with 650rwhp and 580 ft/lbs of torque on tap from its Lingenfelter Performance Eliminator 427ci LS7 V8 powerplant, equipped with a Borla 8-stack EFI setup. Following acquisition by the consignor, the fuel injectors of CF1 Number 004 were converted to the current and visually pleasing 'through-the-hood' tall-stack configuration. Classic Corvette-scripted rocker covers appropriately celebrate the distinguished heritage of this CF1 Roadster and the Ultimate stainless headers feeding a full stainless custom exhaust deliver an awesome soundtrack to match. Other performance highlights include a floor-shifted GM 4L80E automatic transmission, independent rear suspension, and Wilwood 14-inch disc brakes mounting 6-piston front and 4-piston rear calipers. Should any entertainment be required in addition to sound emanating from the Lingenfelter-built engine, this CF1 is equipped with an awesome KICKER audio system that includes Bluetooth connectivity and an 8-inch subwoofer. Equipped with a dedication plaque reading 'Kindig CF1 #004,' this rolling artwork rides on a unique set of one-off custom wheels designed by none other than Dave Kindig, plus an operator's manual. **TITLED AS 1953 CHEV SPECON**
