Details

Rolling off the Norwood Assembly Plant line during the third week of January 1980 (01C), this special 1980 Chevrolet Camaro Z/28 was delivered new to the original owner on February 23, 1980, in Oshawa, Ontario, Canada. It is powered by the original born-with matching-numbers LM1 Z/28 engine paired with the original born-with 4-speed BorgWarner Super T10 manual transmission and original 4-barrel Rochester carburetors. It is also equipped with the original born-with 3.08 posi-traction

differential. This Z/28 is presented in factory original white (11L/11U), with a blue Z/28 stripe (26A-BLUE), a blue cloth interior (26B) and bucket seats (A51). It also features a black and blue steering column and instrument panel (BU2), AM/FM stereo with cassette and factory air conditioning. All original options are confirmed by the Body Tag decode. Purchased by the second owner in October 1991, this Camaro Z/28 would become the recipient of a complete nut-and-bolt restoration from stem to stern. The extensive restoration included rebuild/restoration of the original engine and accessories, original carburetor, distributor, wiper motor, alternator, water pump, power steering pump, steering box, catalytic converter and air conditioning compressor, as well as the brake booster, master cylinder, complete brake system, brake lines, front/rear suspension, steering system, radiator, air condenser and air lines. The body was stripped and repainted with factory original colors, the engine bay was detailed during reassembly, and components were refreshed or replaced, including new seat foam, seat covers, roof liner and carpets. No miles have been traveled since the complete restoration. It has been stored and preserved in a climate-controlled environment. This 1980 Chevrolet Camaro Z/28 #4147 is accompanied by the original dealer pouch and original owner's manuals with delivery info to the original owner. Additional items with a binder of history include a copy of the original Build Sheet, full decoded Trim Tag, photos during restoration, and original driver's door sill tag (the replacement is on the vehicle). **TITLE IN TRANSIT**
