1972 BUICK GS 455 STAGE 1 CONVERTIBLE

This 1972 Buick GS convertible is powered by a 455ci Stage 1 engine mated to a 4-speed manual transmission and has bumper exhaust pipes. Finished in Flame Orange with a Sandalwood top and a Sandalwood interior, this Buick is equipped with power front disc brakes, a power top, tinted glass, front and rear bumper guards, bumper protective strips, door guards and outside rearview sport mirrors. The interior features a factory tachometer and gauges, air conditioning, custom front and rear seat belts, speed alert, AM/FM factory radio, power steering, power top, power windows, power locks and power front bench seat. This car also has carpet savers, tilt steering wheel, convenience group, Rallye steering wheel and a custom trim-vinyl notchback bench seat. It rides on F41 Rally firm-ride suspension with a handling package and rolls on factory chrome-styled steel wheels wrapped in white letter wide oval bias-ply tires. This is a matching-numbers car with all-original sheet metal. There were 81 convertibles built in 1972 and 15 of these had a 4-speed transmission. Of those 15, only six were equipped with factory air. Of those six, this is the only one with this color combination. This car was delivered new to Patterson Buick Inc. in Mount Airy, NC, in 1972. Per the Window Sticker, it was built in Flint, MI. The restoration was done in Florida around 2005-06. A binder of documentation is included with the car.
