Details
Built to compete at the ISCA shows, this custom 1969 Chevrolet Camaro has been driven less than 100 miles since completion. It is powered by a Chevrolet 490hp LS3 with Holley fuel injection that runs through a 6l80 transmission. The rear end is a 12-bolt 3.31 posi-traction built by Detroit Speed for use with their QUADRALink suspension. Under the hood is equipped with a customized engine compartment with a custom radiator cover, smoothed firewall and smoothed wheel wells. The master cylinder was
relocated underneath the dash, creating a clean firewall. Keeping the engine cool is a Wizard aluminum radiator. The engine exhales through a set of Holley headers and exits through a polished exhaust system. The car is riding on a full Detroit Speed and Engineering suspension using their front subframe, which is hydroformed and powder-coated with rack & pinion steering. The brakes are Baer piston calipers on 14-Inch rotors all the way around. Chevy rides on a set of mirror-polished, custom-built Billet Specialties wheels, 18 inches in the front and 20 inches in the rear, wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sport tires. To accommodate the DSE 4-link suspension setup, the rear of the car uses the DSE mini-tub, which retains full use of the back seat. The interior was built by Cutters Custom Interiors using custom panels, an Impala dash and hand-finished seats. The seats have a slim and elegant profile, with custom foam and custom patterning cut from high-quality Carlyle leather. The door panels and rear quarter-panels are handmade, as are the kick panels and the package tray. Housed in the dash are Dakota Digital gauges, and keeping the passengers cool and comfortable is a Vintage Air system. Wiring is all-new by American Autowire, and the audio system is full Kenwood. The car has show-quality bodywork, complete with Kindig-It flush-fit door handles, Fesler flush-fit glass, billet taillight housings, a Kindig-It carbon-fiber spoiler and a Kindig-It front valance. The paint has four coats of clear, sanded to remove orange peel and then buffed to a show finish. In the back, the rear bumper is flushed-in with the body, and the quality of the paint underneath is the same as the top of the car. This is a show car constructed using premium Resto-Mod components.
