Details
This custom 1967 Chevrolet Corvette was constructed by world-renowned B Rod or Custom of Knoxville, TN. This Corvette coupe was assembled with the best-of-the-best in drivetrain and components, combined with the highest level of craftsmanship. From every angle, this world-class 'Vette shows like none other. The over-the-top quality starts with the B Rod-installed and GM-licensed custom-fabricated widebody C2 kit that, from the quarter-panels forward to the nose, added 4 inches to the car's width. The front of the Corvette, which is finished in Axalta Hot Hues Candy Green paint, has a custom-made billet aluminum Alumicraft grille resting beneath LED quad headlights, while out back a set of extra taillights harken back to the early 1960s era of Corvette customization. The undercarriage is where a Street Shop frame resides, with QA1 coilover shocks mated to oversized sway bars connected to C7 spindles. The brakes are late-model Corvette Z51 electronically controlled anti-lock discs at each corner. Rack & pinion power steering is linked to a tilt column topped with a Billet Specialties steering wheel. The Super 8.8 differential is a TrueTrac unit and packs 3.50 gears. One-off Forgeline 19- and 20-inch wheels are wrapped in Nitto Invo performance tires with custom red line striping. Under the Stinger hood is the Chevrolet LS7 427ci V8 producing over 500hp with force transferred to the pavement via the TCI 6-speed paddle-shifted automatic overdrive transmission. The engine has a Holley intake manifold with a twin throttle-body fuel injection setup, along with custom Tri-Power-style valve covers and air cleaner. This car is also equipped with a polished Vintage Air front runner serpentine system, high-amp alternator and Sanden compressor for the Vintage Air
air-conditioning system. The custom-fabricated headers connect to the classic side-pipe exhaust system while the DeWitts aluminum radiator with twin-electric fans keeps the engine nice and cool. Inside the cabin is a tan leather interior by Steve Holcomb's Pro Auto Interiors that utilized custom fiberglass bucket seat pods by B Rod for shape and Dynamat to suppress heat and road noise. Creative LED interior lighting accents the door panels, while stylish Classic Instruments gauges keep a check on all the powertrain functions. The sound system is an Antique Auto head unit with Rockford Fosgate speakers and amplifiers. Further interior enhancements include a custom-made center console and a power window system, as well as cruise control. The car debuted at SEMA in 2019.
