This 1965 427 roadster re-creation by Unique Motorcars is painted in a classic color scheme of red with white stripes over a tan interior. Under the hood of this Cobra is perhaps the most important part of the whole car: a real Ford 427ci side-oiler engine. This is the same engine that was used by Shelby in the original Cobras of the 1960s and was the most high-performance engine available from the manufacturer at the time. This example has been tweaked for more power with a set of aluminum

heads, as well as an aluminum manifold with dual Holley carburetors on top. The rotating assembly has been improved with a high-performance crankshaft and Cobra-Jet connecting rods, and a dual-point distributor helps the car run great in all conditions. Behind the engine is a 4-speed manual gearbox with a modernized hydraulic clutch that makes the car significantly easier to drive than an original. In the rear, a Jaguar fully independent rear suspension keeps the wheels on the road while providing confidence-inspiring handling, and 4-wheel Wilwood disc brakes slow the car down.
