Details
This 1959 Chevy Impala received a professional full frame-off build with no expense and time spared by Northwest Extreme Motorsports out of Springfield, OR. This custom Impala was featured at SEMA 2018 in the Arc Audio booth and is also a Goodguys award-winner. Since then, the car has been further improved and has just over 500 test miles. It is powered by a GM 502ci crate engine equipped with a Borla 8-stack fuel injection system and mated to a GM factory 4L85E 4-speed automatic transmission,
all controlled by a Holley Dominator computer. The engine has a Billet Specialties serpentine front-runner system, custom headers with stainless Borla exhaust and a Ron Davis custom black ceramic-coated radiator with dual fans. This '59 sits on a RideTech RidePro E5 air-ride system with a custom 4-link rear suspension and C-notched frame housing a Moser Ford 9-inch with 3.88 gears. Up front there's a Global West full front-end assembly. It rides on one-off B-forged concave billet wheels (19-inch front, 20-inch rear) wrapped in Continental tires. The car has power steering, and stopping power is handled by Wilwood disc brakes. The car lays out as low as possible, keeping all factory sheet metal and frame. The custom timeless red leather and Alcantara interior features a fully wrapped French-stitched dash and Alcantara headliner. All interior stainless has been painted and polished in matching red with a matching trunk build-out, trunk deck liner and Mercedes wool carpet with complete SoundSkins sound-deadening treatment. The SQ ARC audio system features reference 3-way front custom kick panels with three 10-inch woofers behind the seat with billet ports through the package tray, and a dual ARC 1000-watt processor amplifiers with an XS power battery flush in the trunk floor. The interior also has Dakota Digital HDX gauges, Nu-Relics power windows using stock handles for control keeping the stock appearance and a Restomod Air Bantom air system. The audio system and air conditioning system are controlled by Bluetooth. The car was built to show and drive, and is a very modernized build with a timeless presentation. All brightwork is finished to the highest level with nine coats of clear and a 12-step cut-and-buff process. All sheet metal is original, with modifications that include a smoothed firewall and smoothed-out factory inner fenders. The sale includes a USB with a large photo album of the build process by NWX Motorsports, as well as receipts.
