This custom 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air combines the comfort and braking of Pro-Touring with drag-car looks, but with street-friendly manners. Finished in black paint with hand-painted metallic yellow, orange and red flames. Body modifications include one-piece bumpers with recessed moon tank, hand-fabricated hood scoop, custom louvered engine compartment panels, front fender notches for electronic exhaust dumps, custom-made blue side glass, stock-looking stretched rear-wheel tubs and recessed rear license plate. Roadster Shop chassis with QA1 adjustable coilovers, polished stainless A-arms, 4-link bars, front and rear sway bars, and 20-gallon fuel tank. Stopping power is provided by 14-inch Wilwood rotors with 6-piston polished calipers front and rear. This Bel Air also features a 9-inch Moser differential, 35-spline axles, Detroit Locker posi-traction and 2.9 gear, and cruises at 70 mph at 2,000 rpm. The car rides on modified Billet Specialties wheels and is powered by a 632ci engine with 828hp and 10 to 1 compression on 93 octane pump gas, as well as Hilborn EFI with XFI computer and LS1 firing order. The transmission is a manual Lenco Street 5-speed, which is a blend of an automatic and manual. Inside, the custom red and silver leather was completed in the original style. The interior also features a one-off tachometer and gauges with original-style floating numerals and blue bowtie. It has a custom chrome-plated removable roll bar and Dynamat on firewall and floor, up to the package tray. The car features power steering, power brakes, power windows, power door and trunk locks, a power antenna, hidden Pioneer radio, air conditioning and a tilt wheel.
