Details

This 1948 Chevrolet 5-window custom pickup is powered by a 1978 Chevy small-block engine that is .030 over and is equipped with flat-top 10:1 pistons, Vortec heads, Edelbrock intake, Holley Avenger carb, Powermaster alternator, RPC valve covers and a custom exhaust, all mated to a TH350 automatic transmission. The first step was to box the stock rails using quarter-inch plate before the installation of the Fat Man Fabrications Ultra Low IF setup with 2-inch drop spindles and 11-inch disc brakes

from Right Stuff. A RideTech 4-link air ride system was installed. The low stance required a 7-inch C-notch, and the axle was relocated an inch to better center the wheels in the wheel wells. This pickup rolls on Wheel Vintiques 16x7-inch steelies wrapped in Diamond Back wide whitewall radials to finish the look. The body has shaved drip rails, door handles and cowl vent, as well as a custom one-piece windshield. The base paint is Cactus Green with Aberdeen Green inside the Wimbledon White-outlined flames. The original wood bed was sanded and refinished. A Brother's Truck roll pan and Billet Specialties taillights complete the rear end. The custom interior is a split bench seat from a 1999 Buick Century wrapped in Bone leather. The stock dash has had Classic Instruments gauges installed above the Ididit steering column and Billet Specialties steering wheel. This truck was featured in Custom Classic Trucks magazine and in a Motortrend online article. It was purchased in Sutherlin, OR, and shipped to Kentucky for transformation into a fully restored custom. **TITLED AS 1948 CHEVROLET SPECON** **TITLE IN TRANSIT** **SOLD ON BONDED TITLE**
