Details
The Toyota Hi-Lux series of pickup trucks was produced and marketed by the Japanese automobile manufacturer Toyota from 1968 to 1976. Power comes from a carbureted 2.0-liter inline-4 engine (18R) paired with a 4-speed manual transmission. Factory equipment includes silver-finished 14-inch steel wheels, chrome hubcaps, power-assisted brakes, driver's-side mirror, chrome front bumper, white Toyota tailgate lettering, Toyota mud flaps, bed tie downs, lap belts and a Kraco radio - not to mention the
additional Hi-Lux badges with sporty side trim decals. This truck has been the recipient of a 3-year body-off restoration to original specs, finished in 2019. Finished in green over a cream cloth interior, with no detail left unnoticed. The engine and transmission were taken apart and rebuilt, the body taken down to bare metal and the interior refinished in factory-style materials. Has covered roughly 300 miles since restoration.
