1965 SHELBY COBRA 427 CSX 1000 ROADSTER

Conceived by Carroll Shelby in the early 2000s, the CSX 1000 series was intended to offer the highest-quality continuation Cobra available. To that point, all CSX 1000 cars received bodies hand-rolled in aluminum just like the original '60s Cobras and finished by Shelby as complete rollers. This Shelby Cobra CSX 1022 is one of only 25 Shelby Cobras made to date with hand-rolled aluminum bodies from England. Power comes from a Keith Craft built 427 V8 racing engine equipped with a Holley 4-barrel carburetor making 600hp and paired to a 4-speed Toploader transmission. This CSX 1022 is beautifully finished by Shelby in Guardsman Blue with black side pipes and a chrome roll bar. The all-hand-rolled aluminum body is mated to Shelby's steel tubular frame and features quick-jack bumperettes on both front and rear bumpers. The interior features black leather seats, black carpet, Shelby S/C type gauges, and SFI latch and link black lap belts. It has tinted plexiglass sun visors, a cowl-mounted rearview mirror and clear wind-wings mounted to the windshield. This Cobra rides on Halibrand-style knock-off wheels wrapped in Goodyear tires. CSX 1022 is a one-owner vehicle with 37 actual miles (the title reads mileage exempt) and is offered with the original Shelby Manufacturer's Statement of Origin (MSO) signed by Carroll himself, as well as the Shelby Build Sheet. The dash has also been signed by Carroll Shelby.
