Details
This second-generation 1963 Corvette Split-Window coupe received a complete restoration and custom build by Factory Hot Rods. This high-quality build was designed to maintain the car's factory-original identity while injecting it with modern power, performance and passenger comfort. The build started with a clean, original factory GM body restored on a rotisserie and upgraded with the latest in modern technology. It has been modified with a 3-inch stretch in the rear floor combined with other
modifications, resulting in a total of 8 extra inches for the reclining seat backs to accommodate taller occupants. Built on a custom SRIII Motorsports chassis fitted with C7 Z06 front and rear suspension, C7 Z06 front and rear sway bars and C7 Z06 Z51 performance brake package with 14-inch rotors, dual hydraulic over electric power-assist and ABS for maximum stopping power. The chassis is equipped with Viking coilover shocks with 18 different levels of ride control. The heavy-duty rear axles with Z06 hubs are turned by a Winters Quick Change center section with a 3.55 gear ratio. Steering is accomplished by a Stiletto Quick Steer power rack & pinion operated by a Billet Specialties wheel on a Flaming River column. Power is provided by a GM LS3 525hp crate engine with a polished sheet metal intake and EVOD polished Corvette script coil covers. The installation includes a new GM engine management harness and computer system with Lectric Limited wiring harnesses front and rear. Engine cooling is accomplished by a custom Dewitt polished radiator and passenger-compartment cooling by a Vintage Air system. Power is transmitted to the rear wheels with a GM 4L75E 4-speed automatic overdrive transmission. It connects to the asphalt with meaty 345 rear Nitto Performance red line tires on 20x12-inch Schott Split-Window wheels mounted under the stock quarter-panels. The tailored interior impresses with custom black leather with red double stitching and matching carpet. The exterior is expertly finished in Titanium Gray Metallic paint and optioned with tucked and triple-plated chrome bumpers, Detroit Speed electric headlight motors, 7-speed wiper system and side mirrors with turn signals. It also has Stainless Works headers, Classic Instruments gauges with SkyDrive, custom sound system with original look and updated with MP3 and Bluetooth capability and shoulder harness belts. Comes complete with a 2-year warranty on the driveline and operation instructions.
