Powered by a 5.2-liter V8 engine internally known as the “Voodoo engine,” the 526hp V8 utilized a flat-plane crankshaft, delivering peak horsepower at 7500 rpm and screaming all the way to an 8250 rpm redline. Coupled to the race-derived engine is a special TREMEC TR-3160 6-speed manual transmission with 3.73 gears and sending power to a Torsen limited-slip differential. The GT350R rides on set of Magneride electronic dampers and features a spartan driver-focused interior. In a bid to reduce unsprung weight and rotational mass, Ford opted for Carbon Revolution’s one-piece carbon-fiber wheels, which are clad in Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires. As for stopping power, the GT350R opts for 6-piston Brembo brakes up front and 4-piston in the rear. This GT350 was spec’d with Equipment Group 920A and Electronics Package, which includes Ford’s Sync 3 with navigation, a 7-speaker premium sound system and dual-zone air conditioning. The exterior is finished in Magnetic Gray Metallic with red-accented black racing stripes spanning the length of the car. Additionally, the GT350R features a carbon-fiber spoiler and grille.
