1967 FORD MUSTANG CUSTOM CONVERTIBLE

This 1967 Mustang convertible was featured at SEMA 2009 and is highly customized. It’s powered by a Ford 5.0-liter V8 HO roller rocker engine with an Edelbrock chrome carburetor and intake, JBA ceramic-coated shorty headers, MSD 6AL electronic ignition and MSD Pro-Billet distributor. It is cooled by a Be Cool oversized hand-polished radiator with dual 13-inch electric fans and hand-formed stainless overflow lines with a Be Cool catch can. It features an AOD 4-speed automatic overdrive transmission with a manual shift body, Trick Flow deep sump finned aluminum pan and a Lokar shifter. The rear end is a 9-inch Ford with Moser 31-spline axles driven by a Trak-Loc and 3:90 Moser gears. It has rack & pinion steering, power brakes and air conditioning. This Mustang sits on KYB gas shocks, 1-1/8-inch sway bar in the front and a 1-inch in the rear, 4-wheel SSBC cross-drilled and slotted rotors, Tuff Stuff chrome booster with a SSBC billet dual master cylinder and proportioning valve. It also has rear airbags with an on-board compressor. The exterior is finished in PPG Cobalt Blue mixed with a light blue frost pearlescent shot over a silver metallic base with multiple layers of clear coat containing a small amount of metal flakes.

The interior has Italian leather with embossed ponies in the seats, door panels and trunk, Mercedes triple-layer cloth electric top, Corbeau Sport racing seats and a Kenwood Bluetooth stereo. This vehicle has won Texaco’s Car of the Decades in 2008 and was featured in Mustang Times and Mustang Monthly. Other notable awards include Hot August Nights Directors Award and Best Engine, Summit Racing Best of Show, MCA Grand National Best of Show and MCA National Gold Awards. It rides on Raceline GT wheels wrapped in BFG Comp2 tires.
