1965 FORD MUSTANG CUSTOM FASTBACK

This 1965 Mustang Fastback Pro-Touring build was featured in Mustangs and Fords magazine. It is powered by a Performance Unlimited 408ci V8 Windsor stroker engine with MSD Atomic EFI and Canton front sump oil pan. The engine is backed by a TREMEC TKO 5-speed manual transmission with a Centerforce clutch. The rear end has 3.73 gearing on a Detroit Truetrac limited-slip carrier. It features a Ron Davis radiator, March accessory drive, Hooker headers and mandrel bend 2-1/2-inch stainless exhaust

tubing. Additional modifications are bead-rolled firewalls and inner fenders, DSE rear wheel wells and a custom 1-1/2-inch tubing cage. It sits on Detroit Speed and Engineering suspension with the front featuring alloy crossmembers, control arms and C6 Corvette hubs. The rear has 4-link suspension with Panhard bar, and DSE monotube KONI coilover dampers. Wildwood 14-inch vented rotors with 4-piston calipers help stop this vehicle. Thousands of hours were spent on this no-expense-spared build, and this Mustang has 800 miles since completion. It was acid-dipped, and the build started with bare metal. It’s finished in red paint with a custom black leather interior. The body modifications include a Ringbrothers carbon-fiber hood and narrowed, shortened, flush-mounted bumpers. The interior is highlighted by a refabricated and shaped dash, Alpine multimedia head unit, Vintage Air Gen IV SureFit climate control system, Dakota Digital VHX gauges and Budnik tungsten steering wheel on an Ididit tilt column. The custom interior features sculpted door panels, trimmed seats, audio enclosures, Procar seats with Crow harnesses, roll cage in black leather, square-weave wool carpet bound in leather and red French seams on the leather. It rides on Boze Autocross wheels wrapped in Bridgestone tires. Included is a zip drive with build pictures.
