1959 FORD THUNDERBIRD CONVERTIBLE

This 1959 Thunderbird convertible is powered by a 390ci V8 engine with a 3-speed automatic transmission. The previous owner had the color changed to Sunset Coral by a professional painter. This T-Bird has won more than 60 awards, including awards from Vintage Thunderbird Club International (VTCI) regional and international conventions. A custom-made tonneau cover highlights the car's lines, and easily removes for additional seating. The Thunderbird shows what is called the Exterior Chrome Dress-up Package – addition to front and rear chromed parts. The front chromed parts include headlight doors, windshield wiper arm wells and hood scoop casing. The rear chromed parts include rear taillight extensions and end fin caps. These extra chromed accessories shine next to the coral body color. The engine bay also has a chromed air filter, valve covers and oil filler cap. Other accessories or options on the T-Bird are from the factory or are dealer-installed, including Cruise-O-Matic (automatic transmission), four-way power driver's seat, floor mats with Thunderbird emblem, deluxe rear-deck antenna, exterior left and right rearview mirrors, sports spare wheel carrier (also known as a Continental kit), rear fender shields (skirts), Aquamatic windshield washer/wiper, SelectAire Conditioner, power brakes, power steering, power windows and a power convertible top. The wide whitewalls are on T-Bird spoke wire wheels with center spinners.
