This frame-off restoration was conducted by Chevy specialist Bob Phelps. Scored a 991 out of 1000 points on the Classic Chevy International judging sheet. Platinum certificate from Classic Chevy International. This drop-top wears proper Bel Air ornamentation with dual antennas, and optional trunk trim in the Continental kit. Retract the power-operated roof and the beautiful Tropical Turquoise paint flows seamlessly into a sensational turquoise and Ivory interior. Optioned with power windows and
power front seat, joining an optional tissue dispenser and original Wonder Bar radio and a vacuum ashtray. Under the hood, a Chevrolet 283ci Turbo Fire V8 engine with Power Pack heads utilizing a Carter 4-barrel carburetor serving up plenty of power. A correct Powerglide 2-speed automatic transmission and a correct posi-traction axle finished with 3.42 gears. The drivetrain rides a fully restored chassis, outfitted with power drum brakes and factory power steering.
