Over the past decade, Chevrolet and the new-generation Camaro have been seen in the “Transformers” movie franchise, especially through one of the lead characters, the heroic Autobot “Bumblebee.” The movie used graphics and computer-animated detail to show a classic 1974 second-generation Camaro transforming into the all new fifth-generation vehicle in a way no press conference or ad campaign ever could. It was a powerful way to showcase the brands evolution, and tie in the proud Camaro heritage. After the debut, fans waited eagerly for the street version of Camaro in 2009, and since that time, the Camaro has proven to be one of the most popular sports coupes in the industry … and around the world.
