Details
The 1942 Chevrolet AK Series half-ton pickup was produced for only a few months in 1942 before the government halted production of all civilian vehicles because of the war. A full restoration was performed on this example in 2015. It’s powered by a 216ci inline-6 engine backed by a 3-speed manual transmission, and is finished in period-correct blue exterior paint over a gray interior, along with a detailed engine bay and clean underside. This pickup features period-correct Firestone pie-crust
tires with pinstriped wheels and polished hubcaps, crank-out windshield, vintage thermometer, polished steps, stained wood bed, accessory exhaust tip, factory floor push-button start, optional dual windshield wipers and optional heater.
