The result of a DIY project known as #ProjectPrestone, this Monte Carlo Aero Coupe underwent a transformation over the summer of 2017 at the Barrett-Jackson Showroom Service Department, with the help of Prestone and more than a dozen other partners. Among the improvements to the Aero Coupe was the addition of more horsepower through a new 383ci stroker engine with 415hp, a dramatic increase from the factory 185hp engine. A rebuilt automatic transmission, front and rear Detroit Speed suspension
kits, all-new Wilwood brakes and Edelbrock electronic fuel injection were also installed. The replacement of a catalytic converter and a performance exhaust, as well as new tires and wheels, provided a significant change in power and performance. A fresh coat of black paint brought back the original vibrant color the car had when it left the factory, along with custom details. There were also interior improvements, including new upholstery and hidden stereo upgrades with a new head unit.
