Description

Summary

'76 Toyota FJ40 finished in show-quality Voodoo Blue exterior with white hardtop and rear ambulance doors. Over $110,000 in a 3-year extensive restoration (all receipts included). Powered by a 4.2-liter inline-6 engine and 4-speed manual transmission.

Details

This stunning Voodoo Blue Toyota FJ40 Land Cruiser was fully restored by a service shop family in Topeka Kansas over the course of three years, and was finished into the spectacular FJ40 that it is today. The Kansas family owned the Land Cruiser for over ten years and out of three of those years they performed an extensive full nut-and-bolt restoration with a true cost of over $110,000. Every part and piece was an NOS part ordered from either Lewis Toyota in Topeka or Specter Off-Road the Land

Cruiser parts specialist in California (all receipts included). With over $30,000 alone in body and frame work, the truck was fully disassembled and all pieces and frame were media blasted. Then the frame and differentials were powder-coated and the underbody and bottom of interior floors were Rhino-lined. It was reassembled with over $5,000 in stainless steel bolts and fasteners and all parts used in restoration were OEM including all the rubber seals, rubber bumpers, window slides, window felt, body mounts and bushings. Under the hood is the balanced and blueprinted original 4.2-liter 2F inline-6 engine that was completely rebuilt with MAF forged 9:1 pistons and backed by a 4-speed manual transmission. It has been upgraded with a Weber 36/36 carb, Man-A-Fre chrome headers, MAF aluminum radiator, and all-new water pump, alternator, hoses and clamps. It has an all-new, complete 4-wheel power disc brake system and the front and rear differentials were rebuilt with new CV joints, driveshaft balanced and steering knuckles rebuilt. The suspension contains a 2' Old Man Emu lift with reverse shackle kit, caster shims for correct driveshaft angle and American Racing Mojave Wheels wrapped in Mickey Thompson Baja Mountain Tires. The interior was completely restored along with the front and rear heaters. The steering wheel is the only single item not restored on this truck. Documentation includes the original owner's manual, Kenwood Music Editor CD-ROM, Kenwood stereo instruction manual original Land Cruiser brochure, miscellaneous restoration receipts and a photo album depicting the vehicle at various stages of its transformation.
