This is equipped with the original, matching-numbers engine. Finished in Hugger Orange with black interior this is an authentic GM prototype dual-quad Cross-Ram conversion with correct hood. The original VIN and Cowl Tag are in place. It has undergone a concours nut-and-bolt restoration over an eight-year period by a GM technician with near exclusive use of restored original and NOS parts. The interior, including the seats, panels, dash pad, gauges and radio, have been restored to original and are outstanding. It has extensive restoration photos. With 100% original sheet metal, all key components are part-number and date-code correct. This car received the coveted Concours Legend Platinum Award in 2011 from the American Camaro Association where Jerry MacNeish and Larry Christensen were among the senior judges. It was the only 1969 Camaro to achieve Legend Platinum status that year with a score of 98.7. Restored exactly as presented when new, it features M21 manual 4-speed transmission, posi-traction rear end, center console, wood-grain steering wheel, AM/FM radio and other options. Very well-maintained, it has only test miles since restoration. This car was authenticated in writing by 'Mr. Camaro,' Larry Christensen including the original engine. Z28s could not be ordered new with the Cross-Ram setup. Cross-Ram conversions were sold to customers through GM parts department after delivery. With this sale, the buyer will receive the original intake manifold, carburetor and the restored hood that came new with the vehicle but were later replaced with the Cross-Ram conversion components.
