1966 CHEVROLET IMPALA SS

This is an absolutely beautiful true Impala SS 4-speed, with the correct 1966 396ci big-block engine with 'Hi-Perf' (high-performance) stamped on the block. It's also equipped with a Muncie 4-speeed transmission, SS interior with bucket seats, console, optional gauge cluster and the in-dash tachometer. It also has the Super Sport F-41 suspension which included the front and rear sway bars. The ground-up restoration conducted on this car is top-notch. The restoration consisted of a complete

rebuild of the drivetrain, including engine, transmission, clutch, rear end, front suspension, springs, entire steering system, wiper motor and electrical where needed. The exhaust, shocks, all moldings, emblems, mirrors, stainless, weatherstripping and rear antenna have all been restored or replaced with NOS parts. The body was disassembled, stripped to metal, reworked and painted. It has new lower quarters and trunk. The correct trunk paint and trunk mat were installed, even the original bumper jack was sandblasted and painted. The interior was completely taken out so all floor boards and steel could be sandblasted and coated before installing new carpet. It also underwent a complete cleaning, blasting and undercoating of underbody and frame. Riding on new Crager SS rims and tires, the complete set of original Impala SS hubcaps go with the car along with many other original saved parts. It has new door sill plates, a new headliner and the seats have been re-dyed. All stainless-steel trim around windows was removed and restored. Additionally, the windows were removed so the steel frames underneath could be painted and new weather seal put in. It received a new rear back shelf and jute padding. The interior lights were all gone through. A year-one modern stereo was installed that looks like an original 1960s radio. The speakers were mounted under the rear shelf so they can't be seen and won't take away from the original look. Also included is the original owner's manual and dealer bag it came in. The genuine NOS front and rear bumper guards not yet installed on the car. The original bumpers on the car are in great shape.
