Details
This Mercury lead sled convertible features a removable Carson factory top. It's powered by a Chevrolet 350ci engine with Turbo 350 automatic transmission and 9' Ford rear end. The custom-one-of-a-kind interior features electronic dashboard and gauges, Vintage Air and heat, power windows and tilt wheel. It's been nosed and decked with frenched headlights, custom grille, functional and working lake pipes, and shaved door and trunk handles with poppers. What is so impressive about this car is how
well it was built. It started out as a non-rusted pure original from the desert that the owner/builder spent from 1975 to 1986 to get to as close to perfection as possible. By insisting on only using lead and not any type of Bondo filler, the results are stunning and explain this build as a bygone era. This lead sled looks and drives like it was recently professionally built - not over 41 years ago.
