This 1968 Volkswagen Beetle convertible is a clean example that was restored several years ago. All lights, gauges and accessories work, including the factory original AM radio. The sale includes a history and maintenance file with receipts showing that the engine was rebuilt 25,000 miles ago, while new brakes, a new clutch and rebuilt carburetor were all addressed in the last 10,000 miles. The car was repainted several years ago using single-stage lacquer method and still presents very well

with no cracking, fading, or peeling. The paint is high-gloss that holds a uniform shine across all panels, and trim including bumpers and stainless are shiny. Factory wheels and hubcaps have been chrome plated, and all body rubber gaskets are in good condition. It has new windshield gasket and cover trim. The convertible top with built-in headliner is a high-quality replacement with a glass window. It is in very good condition overall. Included is a nicely tailored boot cover. The folding top's interior headliner is slightly discolored, but the dash shows no cracks and retains all original equipment including the factory-fit AM radio and shift pattern indicator. It has clean carpet underneath. All lights, gauges, switches and accessories work well, and the windows roll up and down smoothly. Per included paperwork, the engine was rebuilt at around 70,000 miles and still runs very well. A new clutch was installed at 91,000 miles and the Solex carb was rebuilt at 93,000 miles. The tires have about 4,000 miles on them and the brakes were gone through at 88,000 miles and still pull the car up straight with good pedal feel.
