Details

Dream Street and M&D customs performed the 4' chop, laid back the A-pillars and laid forward the C-pillars. The drip rails were pinched in and welded smooth, the door handles and cowl vents were shaved, as well as antenna and side moldings. One-piece side glass was installed, along with a 2' Goodmark steel cowl hood, held up with EMS billet hinges. Eric Collins of Final Finish Auto Body in Reno, NV, applied the House of Kolors Kandy Lime Gold and custom black paint. They also laid down the

crinkle finish graphics that run along the rear of the car. The final touch was the addition of 7' blacked-out headlights. The smooth treatment continues inside, as the entire dash was smoothed of all holes, vents and glove box lid. Auto Meter carbon-fiber gauges were added in a Covens gauge insert. A handmade aluminum center console was fabricated, in addition to a black one-piece aluminum headliner to replace the stock cloth one. Audie's Custom Upholstery of Reno installed the modern power bucket seats adorned in black leather with ostrich inserts. Next, an Ididit steering column with a Billet Specialties Rat Tail steering wheel was added. A B&M Megashifter protrudes from the custom center console and a Ron Francis wiring system ties it all together. The frame was enhanced with a TCI front clip with 2' dropped spindles, chrome TCI shocks with Goodyear air bags, as well as a TCI 4-link back end, sub-frame connectors and anti-sway bars. Air Ride Technologies Shockwaves are used to raise and lower the Ford 9' rear end, which has been shortened 4' and equipped with a posi-traction unit with 3.70 Richmond gears. Rounding out the suspension are Boze Shifter wheels, 18x7' front and 20x8.5' rear, with Nitto 555 tires. The firewall was smoothed to make room for a 454ci big-block Chevy. Auto Marine Machine in Carson City, NV, bored it out to 468ci and fitted it with Keith Black pistons. An Edelbrock Performer intake manifold with Edelbrock 800cfm carburetor was bolted on along with a Pete Jackson gear drive, Billet Specialties pulley system, tall valve covers and air cleaner, Mallory Uni-Lite ignition, Sanderson headers and Spintech Super Pro street mufflers. The engine produces a dyno-proven 425hp and 500 ft/lbs of torque. It has a TH400 transmission with Hughes 3,000 stall converter and B&M trans cooler. This is a magazine cover car.
