This is a chopped Ford gone wild with the windshield leaned back, fenders widened and moved up, custom hood, front and rear fender styling with a hand-fabricated grille and cowl. The bed has been completely restyled, wrapped and smoothed. Suicide doors, flush-mount glass, single-piece side glass and innovative custom hand-fabricated steel dash and console accents really take it to the next level. The interior is luxurious Italian distressed leather, all trimmed and filled with the latest Kicker
audio components. 2015 Detroit Autorama is where 'Django' debuted as a Ridler contender. While in Detroit it won Best Radical Truck, Outstanding Full Radical Hand-Built Truck, Outstanding Engineered and Outstanding Interior. That was followed by an abundance of awards at Goodguys events and the Salt Lake Autorama, where it won Outstanding Engineered and Utah's Top Ten. It then went on to be an invited feature car for the Hot Rod Power Tour, was a Barrett-Jackson Cup contender and brought home a Grand Marshall Award, a Celebrity's Choice and Best Special Interest award at Hot August Nights. The show year was completed with winning Best Engineered at the Johnny Martin Cup. It was featured in Hot Rod, Street Trucks, Classic Trucks, Diesel Power and Diesel World, along with a long list of social media outlets, and was showcased on Velocity's live show at Hot August Nights powered by a monstrous horsepower and torque Cummins 5.9-liter 12-valve diesel. A Weaver Customs-designed stainless intake manifold supports a 13mm Bosch P7100 injection pump getting the goods from Borg Warner S400 and S500 turbos. For added kick, a Nitrous Express custom plumbed 500hp system, while spent gases dump through Steed Speed headers to custom 4' exhaust and Flowmaster mufflers then onto nasty 5' cutouts in the lower bedside panels. The engine bay is a work of art showcasing more fabrication with custom sheet metal panel work everywhere you look. Generating 1,000hp and 1,950 ft/lbs of torque at 3,400 rpm moving like a freight train through a fully manual 47RH. To lay down the power a narrowed 9' Ford rear was packed with 3.55 gears and hung in place by a custom ChromeMoly 4-link accented by RideTech double-adjustable coilovers. IFS was added along with a custom anti-sway bar. Massive 14' drilled and slotted Wilwoods bring it all to a halt. The rubber meeting the road is a low-profile Pirelli P-Zero wrapping a set of 20' front and 24' rear Boze Force wheels. Django is enhanced with meticulous metal fabrication, ingenuity, gritty stance and paint laid out like glass, which makes this all-steel truck truly one of a kind. Automatic transmission.
