Details

A full nut and bolt, concours, rotisserie restoration. The exterior color is Aston Martin Racing Green and listed as Ice Green Metallic in Austin Healey color chip book, published in 1999 by Donald Vikovnik. Donald Healey did not like the British Racing Green, but because he felt honor-bound to campaign his cars in England's official racing color, green, he chose Ice Green metallic instead. This color was used on some early 1953 Austin Healeys, including NOJ391, a special test car that was raced

at LeMans. The complete chassis was powder coated in the Ice Green metallic. The interior is Biscuit leather and vinyl with Wilton wool carpet and a dark green Everflex convertible top and boot. A new walnut burl dash and wood steering wheel complete the beautiful interior. All the original fasteners, brackets and linkage were plated in bright zinc. Many parts, including most of the suspension parts, brackets and top bows, were powder coated for durability. Any parts that needed to be painted had high-grade PPG 2-pack paint applied to them. All hydraulics are new, including steel and rubber brake lines. The entire electrical system is either new or rebuilt and includes a new wiring harness. All the chrome has either been triple-plated or new. There are five new 60-spoke chrome wheels with stainless steel spokes and five matching tires installed. The windshield and door glass is new. The suspension was taken off and dis-assembled and new parts used in assembly including new springs front and rear. All four shock absorbers were sent out and rebuilt. 1967 was the last year of production of the Austin Healey 3000 and this is a most sought-after BJ8 model.
