You are looking at a pristine piece of authentic mid '60s American muscle. This Raven Black 1964 Ford Galaxie 500 XL came out of the famous Al Means Ford Dealership in Decatur, GA, that was known for being the lead sponsor on Phil Bonner's numerous 1960s Galaxie drag cars. This Galaxie was purchased in June of 1964, and in March of 1965 the owner returned to Al Means Ford to make an upgrade to his new car. He purchased a Genuine Ford 427 Hi Riser dual 4 barrel engine assembly part
#C3AE-6007-T-IE-361-T. This engine is the most powerful passenger car engine produced for retail sale by Ford Motor Company. The engine assembly was available only through the Ford Dealership parts counter. This XL is equipped with the above-mentioned factory genuine Ford 427 Hi-Riser, pushing 569hp, through the factory top loader 4-speed and 4.11 Detroit Locker rear end. This original less than 61,000-mile piece has received a complete nut and bolt rotisserie restoration that was held to the highest standards with an exceptional attention to every detail. Don't miss your opportunity to own this big, bad, black piece of authentic American horsepower and muscle.
