This stunning 1961 Jaguar XKE 3.8L Series 1 is an early example with flat floors and welded bonnet louvers. It has recently undergone a complete comprehensive restoration to a show/driver level. This car is presented in a striking and elegant color combination of Indigo Blue with a gray leather interior and sports a new gray canvas top, making this a head turner. During the restoration process it was completely disassembled, the body was fitted and painted, then wet sanded and buffed. It

benefitted from new parts being installed and the good serviceable parts restored. New parts installed including exhaust, new hydraulic system, new cooling system, new wire wheels and tires, new windshield, new interior and top, and new rubber seats. All brightwork was redone as needed, all mechanical systems gone through, the rear end was rebuilt and calibrated, the instruments were rebuilt and the entire electrical system was gone through. This iconic British roadster was originally sold from the Charles Hornburg Dealership in Los Angeles, CA, to a customer in Palm Springs, CA. It comes complete with the Jaguar Heritage Certificate, tool kit and owner's manual. The early flat floor with welded louvers are especially collectible and rare.
