This 1949 Chevy canopy express is one of 570 total produced in Oakland, CA. Purchased new in Cupertino, CA, in 1949. Shipped to Hawaii in 1954 for farm use until its return to California in 1962. Retired in 1967 with 77,000 original miles. A correct/comprehensive frame-off restoration was completed after 13 years. Has been featured in three magazines and has won more than three dozen awards, including Best of Shows. Recognized by the National Chevy/GMC Truck Association as the best example in
existence. Includes many factory options and is a crowd pleaser wherever it is shown.
