Doug Delorme restored the car. He was a 30+ year employee of Ford Motor Company in the design department. He acquired the car from the family of Mrs. Kales of Whitehead and Kales. The car was reportedly a gift from Henry Ford to Mrs. Kales as a wedding present. The car was a complete body-off restoration done to a very high level. Very correct and would undoubtedly score very high in an early Ford V8 show. The structural wood is the original wood that came on the car. The birch paneling is
all-new throughout. Thorne Brown was a 1940 Ford color.
